Discover an Ideal Event Venue

The Yellow House Landrum and the two acres it sits on are perfect settings for weddings, cocktail parties, receptions, fundraisers, and more. With its lovely shaded deck and gazebo, its gracious front porch, and easy access all the way around, it lends itself to gatherings of up to fifty people or more. There is ample parking on the grounds—easily holding fifty cars—and a public lot at the park across the street is available for overflow. We have a high privacy fence between our property and the empty lot next door. The back of the property is bordered by an acre of trees and shrubs.

Lovely Grounds Perfectly Suited for Your Affair

The grounds rise from the street above a stone wall and are bordered by a picket fence. As guests approach the house, they pass a colorful azalea garden that features a lovely three-tiered fountain in its midst. When they move through the house to the back of the property, just picture their reactions to a banquet on the deck or a gleaming white tent aglow under the stately old trees that tower over the grounds.

Flexibility to Choose Your Vendors

Choosing The Yellow House Landrum as your event venue gives you the freedom to choose your event planner, caterer, party rental supplier, entertainment, and so on. We are happy to give you the names of some of our favorite caterers and party rental shops.

Types of Events Held

We've had the honor of being the setting for many different types of events over the years: a christening reception, a Christmas wedding, lawn weddings and receptions, and weddings in the gazebo. It's a wonderful place to gather with friends and family. Here are some details about some of our favorite events to date:

• A barbecue rehearsal dinner was held on the lawn with the bride and her attendants as guests at the house.
• While guests at the house, a groom's family hosted their rehearsal dinner on the deck.
• An area fox hunt group of about 90 held a welcoming cocktail party on the deck and lawn in August.
• A hunt breakfast for 80 was held on the deck and in the house in December.
• Numerous Christmas parade-watching parties have taken place on the porch and front lawn (which were packed, but who keeps count?).
• An ice cream social for about 40 was held one summer's eve on the back deck.
